Odournet UK Ltd, an ISO 17025-accredited sensory consultancy, conducted a rigorous assessment of Ecobreeze’s carbon filter in isolation, with no added fragrance, in chambers simulating stale urine malodor.
The findings:
Odour intensity was cut almost in half, dropping from 4.4 (very strong) to 2.3 (weak to distinct) on the VDI 3882 scale.
Hedonic tone improved from -2.5 (very unpleasant) to -1.1 (slightly unpleasant), demonstrating a clear improvement in perceived air quality.
Odour concentration in treated chambers was below the limit of detection, indicating a significant and quantifiable impact from the carbon filtration alone.
Results showed statistically valid differences at a 95% confidence level.
